We’re proud to share that BLE Smoke and Fire Curtains are now members of Made in Yorkshire, joining a community of manufacturers committed to strengthening UK industry through collaboration, shared learning and best practice.

Based in Sheffield, we specialise in the design and manufacture of bespoke smoke and fire curtain systems that help protect people and property in the built environment. As Managing Director Jon Holding explains, “When a fire alarm is activated, our fail-safe gravity curtains automatically deploy to help contain smoke and fire. This limits fire spread and provides vital additional time for safe evacuation.”

As a market-leading global supplier, our products protect millions of people every day. All of our curtains are rigorously tested and manufactured to the highest technical and quality standards, including BS, EN and UL certifications. Our purpose-built factory in Sheffield provides the capacity and flexibility to support continued growth across both UK and international markets.

Following our decision to join the network, we recently welcomed Sam Sleight from Made in Yorkshire to our site. Sam spent time getting members of our team set up on the Made in platform and catching up with Jon, alongside Rebecca Webb, Testing and Certification Lead, and Jody Stuart, Operations Manager, as part of our onboarding into the network.

Joining Made in Yorkshire comes at an important point in our growth journey. As Jon explains, “I decided to join to give key members of our team the opportunity to learn from other manufacturing businesses.” He adds, “As we enter a growth phase, understanding what good looks like in successful manufacturing organisations will help us strengthen our own processes and performance.”

We’re looking forward to engaging with the Made in Group community, sharing our experience, learning from fellow manufacturers, and continuing to invest in UK manufacturing from our Sheffield base.
